Proposed changes to car park arrangements | Have your say

The City of Stonnington is proposing to introduce pay parking and a 3-HOUR restriction in the Sir Zelman Cowen car parks - to encourage short‑term customer parking and improve the car park operation.

At present, there are no restrictions to parking in the three Sir Zelman Cowen car parks.

Under the proposal:

  • Pay parking will operate from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday at the car parks closest to Glenferrie Road and the Monash Freeway.
  • A 3-HOUR restriction will operate from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday at the car park closest to the Playground.
  • No restrictions or fees are proposed for Saturday, Sunday or on public holidays.

Sir Zelman Cowen - Parking Proposal Plan

Under the proposed changes, to park in the car parks closest to Glenferrie Road and the Monash Freeway, a motorist must purchase a ticket, or begin a PayStay session. Tickets or PayStay sessions can be purchased in increments of one hour, up to a maximum 12-hours (an all day ticket).

In the car park closest to the Playground, motorists can park for free for up to three hours. If longer parking is needed, the motorist will need to park in the other car parks.

Before a decision is made to introduce these changes to the Sir Zelman Cowen car parks, we invite you to have your say on the proposal.
