The City of Stonnington coordinated all comments on this draft plan on behalf of its IMAP Council partners, the cities of Melbourne, Yarra, Port Phillip and Maribyrnong.

The consultation period has now closed.

For the past 10 years, the inner city councils have been partners in the Inner Melbourne Action Plan (IMAP) to undertake a series of joint strategies and actions aimed at responding to the growth forecast in the Melbourne 2030 plan. The cities of Melbourne, Stonnington, Yarra, Port Phillip and Maribyrnong (the IMAP Councils) now make up the Central Subregion under Plan Melbourne. As part of the new State Government plan, the IMAP Councils have undertaken a review and prepared the Draft Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025, which sets out joint actions to address changes happening in the inner city.

The Draft Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025 sets out five goals and 27 strategies which propose areas where Councils can work together to progress joint advocacy, policy and projects to help address the impacts of city growth and achieve a more liveable city.

The final Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025 is expected to be completed and presented to the five IMAP Councils in June 2016.
