Proposed changes to car park arrangements | Have your say

The City of Stonnington is proposing to introduce pay parking and a 3-HOUR restriction in the TH King car park - to encourage short‑term customer parking and improve the car park operation.

At present, there are no restrictions to parking in the TH King car park.

Under the proposal:

  • pay parking will operate from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday at the eastern end of the car park,
  • a 3-HOUR restriction will operate from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday at the western end of the car park.
TH King - Parking Proposal Plan

No restrictions or fees are proposed for Saturday, Sunday or on public holidays.

Under the proposed changes, to park in the pay parking section of the car park, a motorist must purchase a ticket, or begin a PayStay session. Tickets or PayStay sessions can be purchased in increments of one hour, up to a maximum 12-hours (an all day ticket).

In the 3-HOUR restriction area, motorists can park for free for up to three hours. If longer parking is needed, the motorist will need to park in the paid parking section of the car park.

Before a decision is made to introduce these changes to the TH King car park, we invite you to have your say on the proposal.

1.Under the proposal, to park in the eastern section of the TH King car park motorists must purchase a ticket, or begin a PayStay parking session, between the hours 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

2.Free parking in the western section of the car park will be limited to a maximum 3-HOURS between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

3.No restrictions or fees are proposed for Saturday, Sunday or on public holidays.

4.The parking fees will match fees charged at other City of Stonnington street level car parks:

  • $2.00 per hour, for the first two hours
  • $3.10 per hour, for every hour thereafter
  • $8.30 for an all-day (12-hour maximum) ticket.

5.Parking fees are reviewed each year in Council’s budget.

Resident parking permits DO NOT provide an exemption in an off-street car park
