Proposed changes to car park arrangements | Have your say

The City of Stonnington is proposing to introduce pay parking in the Princes Close car park - to encourage short‑term customer parking and improve the car park operation.

At present, the car park operates with a 2-HOUR parking restriction between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm Saturday.

Under the proposal, pay parking will operate from 9am to 9pm daily, with a maximum two-hour stay.

To park in the Princes Close car park, from 7am to 9pm a motorist must purchase a ticket, or begin a PayStay session. To extend parking beyond the two-hour limit, the motorist must exit and re-enter the car park, purchase a new ticket or begin a PayStay session.

The current 10-MINUTE and LOADING ZONE restrictions will remain and no fee will be charged to use those spaces.

Before a decision is made to introduce pay parking at the Princes Close car park, we invite you to have your say on the proposal.

1.Under the proposal, to park in the Princes Close car park motorists must purchase a ticket, or begin a PayStay parking session, between the hours 9am and 9pm daily.

2.The parking fees will match fees charged at other City of Stonnington street level car parks:

  • $2.00 per hour, for the first two hours.

3.Parking fees are reviewed each year in Council’s budget.

4.Resident parking permits DO NOT provide an exemption in an off-street car park.
