This design creates a welcoming arrival at the southern end of Armadale Station while improving pedestrian safety and connections across the rail line.

• The existing four-way intersection at Cheel Street will be redesigned as a shared zone - where pedestrians and vehicles share the same road space - giving pedestrians priority.
• Fetherston Street will be partially closed to create a new neighbourhood open space - see Precinct 6 for the park design detail.
• Traffic calming measures including changed road alignment, signage and pavement treatments will reduce vehicle speeds.
• The design allows for temporary street closures during community events.

• Improved station entry with upgraded planting, lighting and street furniture
• Pedestrians given priority at the Cheel Street intersection
• Opportunity for public art and lighting upgrades
• New tree planting
