Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback

In January 2025 we invited community feedback to assist us in the development of a masterplan for the Armadale activity centre.

To ensure the plan reflects community aspirations we undertook an online survey and pop-up sessions in four key locations within the precinct to gain valuable insights from locals, businesses and visitors.

What will the masterplan focus on?

  • creating inviting public spaces with more greenery and amenities.
  • enhancing roads, footpaths, and accessibility for everyone.

  • supporting vibrant retail and dining areas to foster economic and community growth.

What we heard

We learned that the community’s ideal activity centre is clean and connected with local history, a focus on businesses and outdoor dining.

These insights have been summarised in the Engagement Snapshot.

Other key contributors to the area’s liveability include maintaining a sense of safety, having interesting things to look at that contribute to the overall look and character of the area, and ensuring people can easily walk around.

Maintaining public spaces and street furniture, supporting vegetation and natural elements, and encouraging evening activities were identified as priorities that may benefit from further investment to increase their contribution to the area’s liveability.

Encouraging investment in grocery and fresh food businesses and enhancing elements of the natural environment were considered to be the greatest benefit to the community.

What’s next?

Your insights and feedback are informing the development of the draft masterplan that we will share with you for feedback before it is finalised.
