This design improves the laneway experience along Morey Street and makes it easier and safer to walk to Armadale Station.

• New feature paving will extend along Morey Street (east and west from Kingsway) to create a shared zone - where pedestrians and vehicles share the same road space - giving pedestrians priority and calming traffic.
• The existing bike route through the laneway will be retained, with clearer markings at entry and exit points.
• While the narrow street limits opportunities for new trees, the existing green character of the laneway will be maintained through protecting significant trees and adding new garden beds along the northern edge.
