Project update - March 2019

20 March 2019

Following community consultation on a draft masterplan for Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park, a final masterplan report will soon be presented to Council for endorsement. It is expected this will be presented to a Council meeting in April.

An email update will be sent when the Council meeting is confirmed and reports are available, this happens on the Thursday prior to the corresponding Council meeting. More information will be provided after the masterplan is considered by Council, including an email update and letter to residents nearby Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park.

There are also two administrative matters underway related to Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park.

Removal of existing drainage and sewerage easements

Council will soon commence proceedings to remove redundant drainage and sewerage easements within Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park. These easements are no longer required and their removal will proceed as part of title consolidation of the site. Any beneficiaries of the easements will be contacted directly via letter.

It is intended to proceed with the consolidation irrespective of the masterplan process.

Consultation for onstreet parking restrictions

In response to resident feedback, Council will soon begin consultation on parking restrictions on local streets within the vicinity of Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Residents in Abbotsford Avenue, Alma Street, Armstrong Court, Bowen Street, Durward Road, Fenwick Street, Gauntlet Road, Gordon Street, Quentin Road, Rebecca Road, Rob Roy Road and Rowena Road will receive a letter outlining potential parking restriction types and inviting resident feedback.
