We are committed to providing a safe community for everyone who lives, works and visits Stonnington.
We work closely with community groups, local police and government agencies to coordinate partnered responses to:
- Enhance public safety
- Prevent and deter crime and anti-social behaviour
- Reduce and remove the fear of crime
- Reduce the cost and impact of crime on the community, and
- Assist in the allocation and deployment of law enforcement resources.
In addition to Community safety surveys undertaken every two years we are using a mapping tool to help identify key safety concerns for our community.
We need your help! If you have felt unsafe or uncomfortable going about your daily activities anywhere in our city please identify the location on the map and tell us why or what needs to change to help you feel safe. If there are any locations where you feel particularly safe, we would also like to hear about those!
Your responses will help us and our partners to plan and respond more specifically to your safety concerns as well as understanding what safety looks like to our community.
