Have your say on road safety in Stonnington

We are interested in hearing your ideas to improve road safety in Stonnington, to help develop a new Road Safety Strategy.

The new strategy will identify priorities that work towards zero deaths and serious injuries on Stonnington’s roads, and guide the implementation of road safety activities within the municipality for the next ten years.

Over 5-years, 1,481 casualty crashes have occurred within Stonnington (latest Department of Transport figures: 1 July 2015 – 30 June 2019). 474 of those were serious injury crashes and 12 were fatal. 24% of casualty crashes occurred on our local roads.

This strategy will focus on what we can do to improve road safety on local roads in our community that are managed by Council, as well as identify areas for Council to work with the Department of Transport to advocate for improved road safety outcomes on the arterial road network. Visit the Document Library to view a map showing the roads managed by the Department of Transport.
